💨 Abstract
On January 7, 2025, Indian military forces, including the Army, Navy deep divers, Assam Rifles, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), launched an emergency operation to rescue miners trapped in a flooded coal mine in Assam's Umrangso. At least three miners were feared dead, and the water level inside the mine was nearly 100 feet.
