💨 Abstract
The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay Rs 35 lakh to a consumer who suffered medical complications from a faulty hip replacement device, DePuy’s Acetabular System Resurfacing (ASR XL) hip implant. The commission found the implant to be defective due to its design and held the company strictly liable.
