Veteran politician Karan Singh, former Jammu and Kashmir governor, expressed satisfaction with the "free and fair" assembly elections in J&K. He demanded domiciliary provisions and called for restoring full statehood. He congratulated Omar Abdullah on forming a government and urged the government to ensure administrative discipline and prevent corruption. He also highlighted the political divide between Kashmir and Jammu, suggesting it will be a challenge for the new government.
