💨 Abstract
Researchers at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela have developed an upgrade to electrocardiography (ECG) that enhances the detection of subtle electrical signals from the heart's upper chambers. This innovation, known as the Atrial Lead System (ALS), improves the visibility of P-waves, crucial for identifying atrial arrhythmias that can lead to serious conditions like atrial fibrillation and stroke.
