Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a meeting of the state cabinet to discuss the Social and Educational Survey report, popularly known as 'caste census'. Despite media reports of heated arguments, the CM and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar claimed the discussion was cordial. Some ministers expressed reservations about the report's scientific validity and undercounting, but no formal opposition was recorded.
