💨 Abstract

A 12-hour bandh was observed in Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, and Rayagada districts in southern Odisha on October 4, disrupting normal life. The Joint Action Committee demanded district-level appointments to government jobs instead of state-level recruitment, citing an advantage for candidates from more advanced districts.
