💨 Abstract

A 12-year-old girl named Sabitri Hantal drowned in a pond during the 'Boita Bandana' ritual in Odisha's Malkangiri district on Friday. She slipped into the deep water while collecting coins from miniature boats made of banana stem and paper. Despite immediate rescue and hospitalization, she was declared dead.
