Ahead of the Odisha Assembly's budget session, Speaker Surama Padhy emphasized the need for opposition members to maintain discipline. Opposition parties accused Padhy of favoring the ruling BJP due to her statement, questioning her impartiality. The opposition BJD and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) criticized Padhy for allegedly supporting a party function despite holding a Constitutional post. The Assembly session is scheduled to begin on February 13.
