💨 Abstract
The Bhitarkanika National Park in Odisha will be closed for nine days due to the annual crocodile and migratory bird census. Teams have been deployed to count the species in the park's creeks, rivers, and mangrove forests. The park houses 70% of India's estuarine crocodiles, with 1,811 saltwater crocodiles recorded in the latest census.
