💨 Abstract

A POCSO court in Odisha's Bargarh district sentenced a 20-year-old youth, Prashanta Bag, to death for raping and murdering a six-year-old girl. The incident occurred in November 2024. The court also ordered Rs 15 lakh compensation for the victim's family. The accused, known to the victim's family, lured three children to an isolated place, separated the victim, and assaulted her.
