The Odisha government has increased the monthly salary of junior teachers from Rs 11,000 to Rs 16,000, benefiting approximately 13,740 teachers. The decision is part of the government's efforts to improve teachers' socio-economic conditions. The state will also contribute more to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) for each junior teacher.
