💨 Abstract

In Odisha's Balasore district, the prime accused in the assault of two women, allegedly for attempting religious conversion, was arrested. The incident, which occurred in Gobardhanpur village, resulted in nationwide outrage and a political slugfest. Four people, including the accused, have been arrested. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognizance of the case and demanded a report from the Odisha DGP within three days.
