Padma Shri awardee spiritual guru Baba Sivanand, aged 128 according to his disciples, passed away in Varanasi due to health complications. Born in the Sylhet district of present-day Bangladesh in 1896, Baba Sivanand lived a life of austerity and discipline after losing his parents at a young age.
