💨 Abstract

The Supreme Court has allowed Jharkhand to delay forming a fact-finding committee to identify infiltrators from Bangladesh until December 3. The panel was ordered by the high court to address concerns of illegal immigration affecting the state's tribal population. The state government argues that no illegal immigration was found in six districts and contends the high court has no jurisdiction in the matter.
