đź’¨ Abstract
The Supreme Court of India recently stated that a daughter has an indefeasible, legally enforceable right to receive educational expenses from her parents. In a matrimonial dispute, the daughter, studying in Ireland, refused the father's offer of Rs 43 lakh towards her studies. The court ordered that the daughter has the right to retain the amount and may use it as she deems fit.
