💨 Abstract
TMC leader Derek O'Brien has accused the government of not forming parliamentary standing committees, alleging that Parliament is being turned into a "deep, dark chamber." He claims that only two out of ten bills were sent to committees for scrutiny in the last Lok Sabha, compared to seven out of ten in the 15th Lok Sabha. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister has promised to constitute the committees shortly.
