BJD President Naveen Patnaik formed a fact-finding team to investigate the alleged detention of some panchayat members from Odisha and the son of a former minister in Chhattisgarh. Patnaik wrote a letter to Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister demanding the immediate release of Vishal Das, son of former Odisha Minister Naba Kishore Das, and others.
