💨 Abstract
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced plans to eliminate overhead cables from the entire city due to safety hazards. Speaking at an event inaugurating piped natural gas access in 111 villages, Gupta highlighted the risks of overhead wires, including fires and loss of life. The government allocated Rs 100 crore for the first phase of the project, aiming to shift all overhead cables underground. This initiative is part of a broader plan to enhance safety and infrastructure in Delhi.
