The Congress party criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for embarking on a foreign tour, questioning his avoidance of visiting the troubled state of Manipur where ethnic violence has resulted in over 200 deaths since May 2023. The opposition party accused Modi of using foreign trips to score domestic political points and claimed his refusal to visit Manipur is inexplicable.
