S Ramadoss, founder of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), announced on April 10 that he will take up the position of party president, relegating his son, Anbumani Ramadoss, to the position of working president. This restructuring is in preparation for the 2026 Assembly elections. Anbumani, a former Union Minister, will work towards the party's victory in the elections.
