Police in Ghaziabad (UP) dispersed supporters of controversial priest Yati Narsinghanand who attempted to hold a 'mahapanchayat' outside his Dasna temple. Prohibitory orders were in place and the administration refused permission. Narsinghanand's followers tried to remove barricades but were chased by police. Tyagi, a foundation general secretary, alleged police beat up devotees and put followers under house arrest.
