Protesters from the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha, seeking the release of Sikh prisoners, clashed with police in Chandigarh on Tuesday, resulting in injuries to three policemen, including an inspector. The protesters intended to march towards Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence but were prevented by police using tear gas shells and a water cannon. Barricades were erected at several border points to prevent the protesters.
