Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma attended Pope Francis' funeral in the Vatican, expressing gratitude for the opportunity and noting the Pope's ability to unite people. He shared his personal meeting with the Pope in 2022 and mentioned the latter's prayers for the State, nation, and people. Sangma expressed sadness at the Pope's passing but wished for his soul to rest in peace.
