💨 Abstract
President's rule was withdrawn in Jammu and Kashmir on October 16, enabling the formation of a new government in the union territory. The National Conference-Congress alliance won the recent Assembly elections and NC vice president Omar Abdullah will be the next chief minister. Central rule was imposed in 2019 following the division of the state into two union territories and the abrogation of Article 370.
