Court orders in Mumbai have directed for the release of accused, citing "illegal arrest", causing setbacks for probe agencies. Defense counsels claim arrests were made without "application of mind" and probe agencies not following legal provisions. The CBI, ED, and local police remand pleas have been rejected over improper case diary maintenance and delay in providing grounds of arrest.
