On December 26, several cities in Punjab and Haryana experienced severe cold weather. Chandigarh, the shared capital of the two states, recorded a low of 7.3 degrees Celsius. Pathankot and Faridkot in Punjab had minimum temperatures of 4 degrees Celsius, while Amritsar and Gurdaspur recorded 5.7 and 6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
