Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has urged field officers to intensify efforts to combat crimes affecting citizen security, particularly extortion calls, theft, and drug menace. He emphasized immediate registration of FIRs in petty crimes and holding officers accountable for laxity. CCTV camera saturation and control rooms for real-time monitoring are being established.
