In Rajasthan's Ajmer district, a Dalit groom's wedding procession was escorted by 200 police personnel due to apprehensions of upper caste opposition to a horse-mounted ceremony. The bride's family sought protection after anticipating potential trouble, and the wedding proceeded without incident. The family chose to forego DJ and firecrackers.
