Defense Minister Rajnath Singh laid the foundation stone for the Indian Navy's second Very Low Frequency (VLF) radar station in Damagudem forest area, Vikarabad, Telangana. The first such station is in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The project, important for national security, was initially conceptualized in 2010 and was cleared for construction in December 2017 by the Telangana government.
