In Kolkata, police detained around 29 individuals at a popular Durga Puja event for distributing leaflets supporting junior doctors' protests. The doctors claimed the detained were colleagues, while police stated they were common supporters. The incident led to a demonstration by other doctors demanding the detainees' release. Security was tightened in the area to prevent unrest.
