The 600-year-old Chhatri (canopy) of the Bundi royal family was demolished by the Kota Development Authority for airport expansion, sparking a public outcry. Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has demanded an investigation and condemned the act. The demolished site was a revered location for the Rajput community and villagers were not informed beforehand.
