Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, representing the RPI (A) party, part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra, has requested to contest on at least 10 to 12 seats in the upcoming assembly elections. Athawale has identified three to four seats in Vidarbha for his party and expects at least this number in the seat-sharing pact.
