Residents of a village in Maharashtra's Beed, where the sarpanch was murdered, plan to decide the next steps for their agitation in a few days. The sarpanch, Santosh Deshmukh, was allegedly killed in retaliation for preventing extortion attempts against an energy firm linked to a windmill project. Police have arrested seven suspects, but one remains at large.
