đź’¨ Abstract
The Supreme Court has directed states and Union Territories to develop swift response protocols for road accident victims within six months. The court observed that road accidents are on the rise in India and there are instances where victims do not receive immediate help. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has been asked to convene meetings of relevant departments to implement working hours for drivers. The directive came in response to a petition filed by an advocate.
