💨 Abstract
The Supreme Court has dismissed pleas from the daughters of late communist leader M M Lawrence seeking possession of his mortal remains, instead of a government hospital. The Kerala High Court had earlier dismissed their appeals against the decision to hand over the remains to a medical college. The high court noted that Lawrence's daughter Asha did not claim her father had expressed a desire for his body to be cremated according to Christian religious customs.
