💨 Abstract
A Supreme Court lawyer has sought the Attorney General's consent to initiate contempt proceedings against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for his critical remarks against the Supreme Court, deemed as "grossly scandalous" and "dangerously provocative." Dubey had earlier criticized the court for making laws and accused Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna of causing "civil wars." The BJP has since distanced itself from Dubey's comments.
