💨 Abstract

Kashmir received its first snowfall of the season on Friday, under the influence of a western disturbance. The snowfall occurred in most areas of Kashmir, including plains such as Srinagar, bringing relief to locals and tourists. Snowfall also occurred in higher reaches, tourist resorts, and ski resorts. The snowfall led to the closure of major highways, stranded thousands of vehicles, and affected air traffic.
