American diplomat Gentry Smith, Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security, expressed concern over attacks on Indian consulates in the US. He will discuss security-related issues with Indian counterparts during his visit to New Delhi. Smith paid tribute to security personnel killed in a terror attack on the American Center in Kolkata 12 years ago. He plans to ensure the safety and security of all diplomats serving the US and will collaborate with local authorities for this purpose.
