Following a sudden and severe downpour in Mumbai and Thane, over 50 distress calls were received, leading to the rescue of more than 22 animal species. The Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare, along with the Forest Department, rescued displaced and injured wildlife, including young birds and snakes, due to strong winds, heavy rains, and waterlogging. Community animals were also impacted, with several distress calls reported. Efforts included treating and rehabilitating injured animals.
