In the Mumbai University senate elections, the Shiv Sena (UBT) secured a clean sweep, winning all 10 graduate seats and defeating the RSS-led Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Aaditya Thackeray, the head of the Yuva Sena, stated this victory is a prelude to the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls.
