💨 Abstract

A first-year female engineering student died after allegedly jumping from the eighth floor of her hostel in Sikkim's Pakyong district. The student, originally from Assam, was taken to a local hospital but was declared dead. The circumstances surrounding her death are under investigation, with authorities investigating whether it was an accident or suicide. In May 2024, a similar incident occurred in the same hostel.
