💨 Abstract

A 25-year-old bailey bridge in Sikkim collapsed due to an overloaded truck on Saturday. The incident occurred on the Lachung-Katao Road over Lachung Chu River. No casualties were reported as the driver was rescued safely, and the bridge did not fall into the river. Officials are assessing the damage and planning for repair, while an alternative bridge is being used for traffic.
