Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha paid tributes to ex-servicemen during the ninth Armed Forces Veterans Day. He stated that soldiers protecting the borders ensure the security and development of the nation. He emphasized society's collective responsibility to take measures for the welfare of soldiers and veterans. The Lt Governor also highlighted various welfare programs for the education of the children of veterans and distributed mobility aids to veterans and veer naris.
