💨 Abstract

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was elected unopposed as the president of Assam Olympic Association (AOA) in Dibrugarh. BJP leader Lakhya Konwar was elected as the general secretary. Several ruling party MLAs withdrew their nominations following a suggestion from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to involve sportspersons in the sports body.
