In the Haryana Assembly elections, only 51 women candidates, mostly from political families or with celebrity status, have been fielded by frontline political parties. The Congress has fielded the highest number of women candidates (12), followed by INLD and BSP (11 combined), BJP (10), JJP-ASP alliance (8), and AAP (10).
