💨 Abstract

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram criticized the government for leaving eight positions of information commissioners vacant in the Central Information Commission, as per RTI Act requirements. He alleges that the central government has intentionally amended the RTI Act and changed the conditions of service of information commissioners to weaken the role of the RTI Act.
