💨 Abstract

The newly formed Tribal Advisory Council (TAC) in Odisha, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, has rejected a proposal by the previous BJD government to allow tribals in scheduled areas to sell and mortgage their land to non-tribals. Instead, they aim to explore alternative methods to provide loans for tribal people for essential purposes such as education, marriage, and business initiatives.
