Telangana has become the first state in India to implement Scheduled Castes (SC) categorisation officially, according to Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy. The state government has divided the 59 SC communities into three groups - I, II, and III - for reservations in government jobs and education. The groups have been allocated 1%, 9%, and 5% reservations, respectively.
