On Saturday, a thick fog blanketed most of Punjab and Haryana, causing visibility to drop to zero in several places such as Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Ambala. The biting cold weather also prevailed in both states, with Narnaul in Haryana being the coldest place at 4.4 degrees Celsius.
