💨 Abstract
In Mozambique, clashes between police and protesters over a disputed election on October 9 resulted in at least three deaths and 66 injuries, with most victims between 25 and 35 years old. This brings the total deaths from protests since the election to at least 18, and some groups report 34 deaths overall. The opposition claims the election was rigged, and civil society and international observers say it did not meet democratic standards.
